Jung Hae-in Proves His Thoughtfulness as Direct Descendant of Jeong Yak-yong: Reflect on Significance of March 1st Movement

On March 1st, Jung Hae-in posted the Taegeukgi (South Korean national flag) on his social media without any caption, marking the 106th anniversary of the March 1st Movement.

Jung Hae-in has drawn attention since his debut as a sixth-generation direct descendant of Jeong Yak-yong. In October last year, he appeared on tvN’s variety show “You Quiz on the Block” and shared, “I am a descendant of Jeong Yak-yong’s second son. Since I lived with my paternal grandparents as a child, I often heard about it, but it didn’t feel real to me. It was only when I started studying history that I looked into it again.”

When asked if he was conscious of his actions as Jeong Yak-yong’s descendant, he responded, “I can’t help but be aware of it to some extent. Even in my social media algorithm, I often come across things like ‘Teachings of Jeong Yak-yong’ or ‘Letters to His Son’.”
Meanwhile, Jung Hae-in recently appeared on MBC’s variety show “Good Day”, showcasing great chemistry with fellow 1988-born celebrities such as G-Dragon, Lee Soo-hyuk, Kim Soo-hyun, Im Si-wan and Hwang Kwang-hee.
